ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare and quite large vintage mosaic wall hanging. Circa \'60s. Theme: Abstract Figural, Bird. Colors: Multi-color. We are not 100% certain what the tiles are made of - they almost seem like a linoleum that was painted over to give it a distressed appearance, and they are affixed to the wooden backboard by grout. That\'s how it was apparently designed by the artist - it has not been altered in any way. It is unsigned.
MEASUREMENTS: Including the wooden surround frame, approx. 53\" wide x 24\" tall. This item is also fairly heavy weighing in at 21 lbs.
CONDITION: Very good condition - no pieces missing - everything appears in place, and there\'s nothing loose. There is paint loss throughout, but we believe that is how it was designed to give it an aged appearance. The frame is structurally solid as well with no issues to report other than some light wear that is consistent with age. There is a wire hanging mechanism on the back side for hanging / display purposes.
