Vintage American Limoges Currier Ives 48 Piece Dinnerware Set 22K Gold TC-S 384 For Sale

Vintage American Limoges Currier & Ives 48 Piece Dinnerware Set 22K Gold TC-S 384

This American Limoges Currier & Ives Dinner Set features a beautifully designed dinnerware collection with classis Americana multicolor winter scenes by Currier & Ives. It is adorned with warrented 22K gold filigree details, known as China D\'Orr and a glossy finish. This vintage set from the 1940s is perfect for any occasion ~ especially for the holidays! Made in America by the renowned brand Amerucan Limoges, this original dinner set is a stunning addition to any table setting.

• The Shape and Pattern Codes (TC-S 384): The \"TC\" stands for Triumph, a highly popular semi-vitreous dinnerware shape designed for the company by the famous industrial designer Viktor Schreckengost in 1937. The suffix \"S 384\" indicates the specific decoration line and 22K gold filigree treatment applied to the Triumph body.

• The \"American Limoges\" Branding: The Sebring, Ohio company originally operated as the Limoges China Company. In the 1930s, they shifted their name to American Limoges, and utilized it until they stopped using the \"Limoges\" name entirely in the late 1940s.

While the Royal China Company later mass-produced a famous, long-running blue underglaze version of Currier & Ives dishes starting in 1949, this specific American Limoges Triumph (TC) set with 22K gold accents represents an earlier, much scarcer mid-century interpretation of the classic Americana winter lithograph scenes.
