Original Automobile Club Sanremo grille badge featuring the city\'s historic coat of arms with its distinctive palm tree and lion beneath a mural crown. Finished in white, red, green, and gold fired enamel with an open-spoke wheel design typical of mid-century Italian automobile club badges.
Produced for members of the Automobile Club d\'Italia (ACI), these badges were mounted to the front grilles of touring automobiles and proudly identified the owner\'s local automobile club. Sanremo, located on the Italian Riviera in Liguria, has long been associated with grand touring, motorsport, and the famous Rallye Sanremo.

Condition
Very good vintage condition with bright original enamel and attractive patina to the gold finish. Light wear consistent with age and use. The original threaded mounting plate remains attached to the reverse. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the 2¼ inches (5.7 cm) in diameter.
