Vintage Cherry Red Bakelite / Catalin Teardrop Bead Necklace – 60.80g
Beautiful vintage-style necklace featuring large cherry red and burgundy teardrop-shaped beads with attractive marbled patterns.
The beads have a rich, deep red color with subtle orange and amber swirls. When illuminated with a strong flashlight, they reveal a beautiful translucent ruby-red glow.
The necklace features distinctive teardrop-shaped beads separated by small golden-colored spacer beads.

Material Testing:
The beads were tested with a cotton swab, producing yellow discoloration consistent with certain vintage phenolic resins, including Bakelite and Catalin.
The beads also display beautiful red translucency under strong transmitted light.

IMPORTANT – CONDITION:
The necklace is in vintage condition with visible signs of age and previous use.
Three beads have noticeable damage, including chips, cracks and areas of material loss. These defects are clearly shown in the close-up photographs.
The remaining beads may have minor surface scratches, wear and imperfections consistent with age.
The stringing also shows signs of wear and may require attention or restringing.
Please carefully examine all photographs, especially the close-up images showing the three damaged beads.
Despite these imperfections, the necklace remains an attractive collectible piece with beautiful deep red coloration and distinctive vintage character.
