The Vintage Chicago Hardware Foundry Hammered Cast Iron Skillet 87X No.8 is a classic and collectible piece of cookware that is perfect for any kitchen. Made between 1920-1949, this original round skillet features a black cast iron material with a handle and matching lid. With stove type compatibility for gas, this frying pan is a versatile and timeless addition to any home chef's collection.
Structural Integrity: Excellent vintage condition. No cracks chips or repairs.
Lid Fit: The lid sits completely flush on the rim with zero rock or gap, ensuring an excellent seal for cooking.
Flatness: The skillet has a slight wobble/spin on perfectly flat surfaces. Best suited for gas ranges, outdoor cooking or oven baking. That said, it works well on my induction cooktop.
Surface: Plain cast iron with minor scratches from cooking utensils with small spots of baked-on or carbonized oil. No rust or pitting. The current seasonings old and uneven and is ready to be stripped and reasoned by its next owner.
