This is a beautiful vintage Chinese Suzhou double-sided silk embroidery table screen. This piece features a meticulously hand-embroidered branch of white magnolia blossoms and vibrant green foliage. Rendered flawlessly on translucent silk, the artwork is perfectly identical on both sides.
The screen is housed in a beautifully contoured dark hardwood frame that nests securely into a highly decorative, openwork carved wooden stand featuring elegant scrollwork and stylized butterfly details. When fully assembled, the piece stands approximately 20 inches tall from the base to the top of the frame, making it a wonderful statement piece for a mantel, console table, or display shelf.
