2 3/4 inch from top to bottom including stopper. Stopper has a small hole in the center/Bottom but no spoon or attachment. Butterfly and Gord motive… The squash/Gord… As representative of fertility…. The butterfly stands for marital happiness. This is what I have learned from my deep research of this tiny little snuff bottle.
This is another one of my mother-in-laws pieces from her estate… Many of you that follow me know that she had theme rooms in her home in La Jolla. I.e. garden room, French room, Asian room… This has been in the Asian room for 25 to 30 years. I don’t know much about the piece but I I’m documenting to the best of my ability since she is no longer with us.
Please reach out for more photos or information, etc. or if you have any history on this piece… It would be much appreciated.
She had many many antique and vintage pieces… I cannot confirm that this is antique or vintage… It is a very beautiful little snuff bottle, but as far as it being authenticated as antique or vintage, I cannot do that so I will price it according to my research. Once again… If anyone has any additional comments or knowledge on this piece… I would be more than grateful to hear from you.
