Vintage Chinese porcelain guardian lion / foo dog figurine featuring a female lion with her cub.

A particularly attractive example with a colorful sancai-style glaze in pale yellow, turquoise, lavender/mauve, black and white. The lion sits atop a decorated pedestal with floral and geometric designs, while the small cub rests beneath her paw.

Approximately 9.5\" tall.

Unmarked on the underside.

Vintage decorative Chinese piece; exact age and maker are unknown. I do not believe this example is antique, so it is being offered conservatively as vintage.

Very nice display presence with expressive modeling and an unusual color combination.
