Vintage Coro Scheherazade Multi-Stone Necklace, Earrings, Bracelet, Book Piece For Sale

This is a set from the Coro "Scheherazade " suite from 1956. As you probably remember, Scheherazade was the storyteller from the Arabian Night books. .This jewelry set captures the beauty, splendor and color of the stories..The set includes: A Necklace, 2 sets of earrings, Brooch, and a bracelet. The necklace has 6 identical clusters all with prong-set stones. Each has a large blue oval faceted stone, and orange, green, clear AB, and light and dark amber colored chatons. There is an overlay of two gold tone leaves. The earrings have the same stones. The chain is a scroll design with an extender. The center of the necklace is 8 inches by 3/4 inches. The necklace is 17 1/2 inches. .There are 2 sets of earrings. The photo is showing the additional pair of earrings clipped onto the necklace). ..I have added additional "pair" in case you may want to wear the necklace with a nice dangl. The earrings are 1/8 by 3/4inches. The bracelet is 7 inches..Earrings are marked CORO. The necklace and bracelet are unmarked. The non-use of the copyright symbol dates it to 1948-1955..The set can be seen in Julia Carroll's book, Collecting Costume Jewelry 202, second edition on page 141. She describes the set as high quality. The set was featured in a Corocraft ad titled Scheherazade, Masterpieces of Fashion Jewelry.
