Vintage Crown Lynn Air NZ 1965 Turquoise Maori Koru Salt & Pepper Shakers Bungs :
$130.00
These are the turquoise salt and pepper shakers Crown Lynn made in Auckland for Air New Zealand\'s first class cabin in 1965, for their new DC-8 jets. The brown swirl is a Māori koru pattern, taken from a carving in Auckland Museum. It was only used in first class until the early 70s.Stamped on the base Crown Lynn Potteries New Zealand. Salt has 3 holes, pepper has 1. Both still have their original yellow rubber stoppers. Really nice condition for their age — no chips or cracks, no hairlines around the top holes. The brown pattern is still crisp. Glaze is smooth and glossy. See close-up photos and video for detail. Approx 2 1/2\" tall. From my research they are the same design held in New Zealand\'s national museum collection.
