I bought this 13 years ago on and it was listed and sold as a part # 823881. The listing showed the orange tube package and a splined shaft drive but that is not what I received. This one has a smooth shaft, see photo. It was said to be NOS, and it probably is, but I don’t know for sure. Some quick online research points to large 12 and 24V starter motors as its application. I took some measurements and they are as follows; .4690 dia smaller part of stepped shaft x 2.6745 L, .6245 dia of larger portion of stepped shaft, .OA dia is very close to 2.875, commutator 1.5620 dia, OA Length is 12.375. It also came in a plain square box, not the orange tube. It is stamped as MDL-2085 see photo. Please examine carefully, because I don’t know the true part number or application. Again, no orange Delco package just plain cardboard. Shipping is USA except for HI and AK which would be additional. No testing has been done an is being offered as is.
