Beautiful vintage Hamilton “Murray” men’s wristwatch, dating to approximately the 1950s. This is a particularly attractive Hamilton dress watch with a rectangular 10K gold-filled case and dramatic flared lugs.
The original-style champagne/silver-tone dial features applied gold-tone hour markers, Arabic 12, gold-tone hands, and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock.
Inside is the desirable Hamilton Grade 747 manual-wind movement, clearly marked Hamilton 747 – 17 Jewels – Adjusted.
Watch winds, sets and is currently running. It has not been checked for long-term precision accuracy and service history is unknown. As with any vintage mechanical watch, cleaning/service may be needed for dependable daily use.
The inside case back is marked MURRAY, Hamilton W. Co., Lancaster PA, 10K Gold Filled, Star W.C. Co. The exterior case back is also marked Hamilton and 10K Gold Filled.
The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap showing some wear. The gold-filled case also shows normal vintage wear, scratches and areas of finish wear. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description.
