Description:
Vintage Hamilton Whitney, one of the most desirable Hamilton models of the early 1930s and a classic example of Streamline Moderne Art Deco design.
The Whitney is known for its dramatic flared and stepped case. It is a scarce model.
Case:14K white gold filled. There is brassing at bezel corners and lug tips, dings, which happened to many Whitneys.
Dial:There is some radium burn on the dial, but it\'s very nicely aged.
Crystal:An extra thick glass crystal is present. It has some marks.
Movement:Hamilton grade 987-F, 17 jewels, manual wind, made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The watch is running, but I have no idea of when it was last serviced. The winding is a little fussy. The time sets well and the watch winds well, but I do need to pull the stem out and push it back in at times to get it to wind. This should get servicing!
