• Text prepared by Josephine Gibson, Director of the Home Economics Department at H. J. Heinz Company in Pittsburgh, with an opening essay that describes the booklet as a picture book of salad making and celebrates salads as a symphony of colors, flavors, fruits, vegetables, oils, and condiments.
• Includes a message from company president Howard Heinz explaining the quality principles behind the famous Heinz 57 Varieties line and affirming the firm\'s commitment to offering foods of the highest quality and most pleasing flavor.

• Condition: This super-vintage 1930s Heinz salad recipe pamphlet remains complete and fully enjoyable. Front cover shows overall surface rubbing, age toning, scattered small stains, and a pronounced crease with short tears and softening at the lower right corner. Spine fold is rubbed and creased with wear and small splits at the ends. Back cover displays edge wear, corner creasing, and handling soiling. Interior pages are age toned with occasional small foxing specks and smudge marks in the margins, plus a short tear at the lower inner margin of page 2 near the spine fold. Staple binding is intact and secure so the booklet opens and closes normally without loose or detached pages. The illustrations and text are as crisp and clear as the day this jewel rolled off the press.
