Vintage 1960s Hermès Palonnier 27 Black Box Calf Gold Hardware Handbag
Very good vintage condition. The black Box calf leather is in excellent condition for its age, retaining its beautiful sheen, structure and rich color. There are light surface scratches, subtle creasing and minor edge wear consistent with a vintage handbag. The gold-tone gilt hardware displays visible scratching, patina and finish wear. The leather interior is clean overall with light creasing, rubbing, edge wear and age-related patina. DESCRIPTION
An elegant and increasingly difficult-to-find vintage Hermès Palonnier 27 top-handle handbag, dating to approximately the 1960s.
Crafted in smooth black Box calf leather, the bag features a structured silhouette, curved leather top handle and distinctive gold-tone Palonnier clasp stamped “HERMÈS PARIS.” The gusseted black leather interior contains multiple compartments and pockets, making this a beautifully constructed and functional example of mid-century Hermès design.
The bag has retained its shape remarkably well, and the exterior leather remains smooth, lustrous and supple. The most noticeable signs of age are the scratches and natural patina on the gilt hardware.
