Up for sale one 1973 KitchenAid Trash Compactor, by Hobart, model KCS-100B, working condition. Comes with carbon filter installed last year (ordered from RangeHoodFilter, 6x8x0.5”). I am the second owner. Some minor surface rust on top and lower edges, some sun fading on finish that could benefit from clear-coat. One dent in back of unit, toward bottom-left.
Works great, comes with several bags and is compatible with bags for 17” Viking trash compactors as well. Completely functional, ram works great, fan for air filter comes on and is silent. “Litter Bin” drawer works fine. Comes with original key. Some minor corrosion on inside of bottom drawer, no weird smells. Plastic two piece “tilt away” basket to hold trash bags is complete with no chips.
Does not come with a top as it was originally under a countertop. If you wanted to make it freestanding though, it is possible to put a butcher-block on it using some screws and the holes on the top front, as well as L channel with the 3 holes to the back.
