House of Lords was an old English pipe name that became a Sasieni sub brand , putting it under one of the great names in classic London pipemaking. Sasieni itself was founded by Joel Sasieni in 1919, after he left Dunhill and set out to make pipes his own way.
House of Lords gave Sasieni another outlet for good briar that didn’t go into the premier Four Dot lines. Sasieni was famously selective with its top grades, and its seconds could still be beautifully shaped, well-made English pipes with plenty of life in them.
You’ll find House of Lords in classic English shapes, often stamped MADE IN ENGLAND or MADE IN LONDON ENGLAND, with some examples carrying a little crown logo on the stem. The shaping and numbers can also show that Sasieni family resemblance.
House of Lords is exactly the kind of old-school English sleeper I like. Sasieni bloodline, proper London character, and enough obscurity that plenty of pipe guys won’t know what they’re holding. Damn fine pedigree hiding behind a different name.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
