Vintage IRWIN USA 13-piece solid-center auger bit set with its original fitted wooden storage box and a working hand brace drill.
The boxed auger-bit set is complete with all 13 bits present. The sizes appear to run from No. 4 through No. 16, corresponding to approximately 1/4 inch through 1 inch. All of the original metal holders inside the box are intact and securely retain the bits.
Also included is the vintage hand brace shown in the photographs. The brace turns and functions and will accept and hold the included bits. Please note that one component/jaw within the chuck is broken or missing. Despite this damage, the chuck still tightens sufficiently to hold bits. The damaged area is shown closely in the photographs.
The tools have not been restored. They retain their original vintage appearance, with surface rust, oxidation, discoloration, scratches, and other wear from age and use. Cutting edges and lead screws have not been professionally sharpened or individually tested in wood. The wooden box has staining and cosmetic wear but remains functional.

Condition
Vintage used condition with age-related wear, surface rust, oxidation, staining, and scratches. The original wooden box shows wear but remains functional, and all of the internal metal bit holders are intact. Complete set of 13 auger bits is included.
The hand brace operates and will accept and securely hold the included bits. However, one component/jaw inside the chuck is broken or missing; please review the close-up photos carefully. The brace remains usable despite this damage.
