Up for sale is a beautiful, heavy Vintage International Silver Company Round Serving Tray Platter, directly out of a premium estate collection.
This classic, thick-walled serving piece features the official corporate \"IS\" hallmark stamped cleanly into the reverse rim, verifying its authentic historical craftsmanship. The face of the tray features a large, flat serving field beautifully decorated with a subtle, lightly etched circular band of floral scrollwork and fine cross-hatched details. The entire outer edge is finished with a stunning, tightly twisted gadroon rope border trim that adds an exceptionally clean, traditional American look.
Unlike footed salvers, this tray features a completely flat, flush baseline design, making it incredibly stable for carrying heavy crystal liquor decanters, cocktails, or coffee services without any risk of tipping.
Condition Note: The platter is in highly polished, beautiful vintage shape with zero structural dents or deep gouges. The heavy silver plating holds a brilliant mirror-like reflection, with fine hairline surface cleaning marks in the center field from historical use. A rich, dark authentic tarnish patina has formed beautifully inside the grooves of the twisted rope border. We choose to leave this natural contrast untouched for collectors who value its antique character, but it will easily polish back to a uniform bright shine with standard silver cleaner if you prefer.
A timeless addition to a vintage bar cart setup, an elegant holiday buffet server, or a gorgeous display piece for a collector of authentic mid-century American silver plate. Packaged with professional-grade protective care, heavily wrapped in bubble wrap, double-boxed, and shipped 100% FREE and fully insured.
