Beautiful vintage set of five Italian Florentine gilt wood wall plaques, made in Italy and featuring colorful 18th-century Rococo-style pastoral and courting scenes.
The set includes one large ornate centerpiece, two rectangular plaques, and two narrow shaped plaques. The gold and cream Florentine-style frames have decorative detailing and an aged finish that gives the grouping wonderful Old World character.
Several pieces retain their original red oval “MADE IN ITALY” labels, while others are stamped “MADE IN ITALY” directly into the wood backs. Each piece has hanging hardware on the reverse.
The artwork depicts 18th-century European/Rococo-inspired scenes, while the plaques themselves appear to date to the mid-20th century, approximately 1950s–1960s.

Condition: Good vintage condition with expected age-related wear. There is rubbing, scratching, gilt/finish loss, edge wear, discoloration and other signs of age throughout. The wood backs also show scratches, marks and wear. Please review all photos closely as they are an important part of the condition description.
