Japanese Wired Cloisonné Vase – Yellow Ground with Irises

• Hand-made Japanese cloisonné enamel vase, probably from about the 1920s–1940s
• Bright yellow enamel ground
• Purple-red irises with petals shaded from deep wine to soft pink, on tall green leaves
• A red daisy spray with blue-gray leaves near the base
• Fine wire outlines throughout
• White-metal (silver-tone) rims at the mouth and foot
• Base is enameled yellow and unmarked
• Size:About 5" tall x 3" wide
• Condition:Very good vintage condition. It has flaws from the original firing: reddish color bleed inside the mouth and scattered small black specks in the enamel, both common in hand-fired cloisonné. The rims show their original join seams and light wear. The interior is darkened copper, which is normal. No chips, cracks, or dents found. Please see all photos, which are part of the description.
