Rare Vintage Japanese Sosaku Kokeshi Doll "Tabiji" by Oki Yasunobu - Signed with Plaque

Up for sale is a stunning and highly collectible vintage Japanese Sosaku (Creative) Kokeshi doll titled "Tabiji" (The Journey / たびじ). This authentic wooden masterpiece was handcrafted, turned, and hand-painted by the renowned master artisan Oki Yasunobu (born 1955).

Oki Yasunobu is an award-winning member of the Japan Kokeshi Crafts Association and a multiple-time prize winner at the prestigious All-Japan Kokeshi Competition.

About the Design:

This doll features a distinctive, beautifully rounded silhouette. The rich, jet-black hair contrasts gorgeously with the vibrant red kimono, which is masterfully decorated with traditional circular patterns, colorful autumn maple leaves (Momiji), and elegant golden accents. Her sweet, serene facial expression brings a wonderful sense of peace and warmth.

The listing comes complete with its original wooden signature plaque (Kofuda) displaying the title of the doll, the master's hand-written signature (沖 秦宣), and his official red artist seal.
