This vintage Japanese clutch is made entirely from traditional Yatsuo washi paper from Yatsuo, Toyama.
The included original Japanese information sheet explains that the specially processed paper is made durable and leather-like, then decorated using stencil-dyeing techniques. It notes that Yatsuo kamiko has traditionally been used for items such as sword bags, garments, wallets and handbags.
