Beautiful vintage John Perry Studio Dolphin Duo featuring two graceful dolphins leaping above a highly figured natural burlwood base. The dolphins are made from Pellucida, John Perry Studio’s proprietary resin material developed to resemble bisque porcelain while offering greater durability.
The piece carries the John Perry maker plaque on the burlwood base, and the original John Perry Studio information card is included, making this an especially nice example for a collector of John Perry’s nature-themed sculptures.
The natural burlwood is exceptionally attractive, with extensive grain, knots, figuring and organic texture. No two burlwood bases are exactly alike, which gives these sculptures their individual character.
