Up for sale is a beautifully calibrated, structurally excellent matched pair of factory-original late 1960s Gibson P-90 "soapbar" pickups. These came out of a transitional late-60s Gibson and feature the highly desirable mahogany wood spacers, black bobbins with a visible center seam, and un-stamped vintage baseplates.Specs & Output Readings

Covers
Includes the highly coveted original 1960s cream/tan soapbar covers. The insides are crisply stamped with the authentic factory UC-452-B mold numbers. The butyrate plastic shows beautiful, authentic vintage aging with no structural cracks or modifications.Lead Wire Condition (Please Read)
The original external silver braided lead wires were cut short at the baseplate exit hole by a previous owner. The wires currently extending from the pickups are the factory-original black and white internal bobbin leads.The bobbins themselves are 100% original, un-rewound, and untouched. To install these in a guitar, you or a guitar tech will simply need to solder an extension of vintage-correct braided shield wire to these internal leads and ground it to the baseplates. The original solder pools on the baseplates where the factory braids were anchored are still intact.

Summary
This is an incredible "Player/Restoration" grade set perfect for bringing a vintage late-60s Gibson SG Special or Les Paul back to life, or for upgrading a custom build with authentic vintage mojo.

Pole-piece screws show some variation between the two pickups. On one pickup, five screws extend through the baseplate while one appears slightly shorter. The other pickup has six screws that do not extend through the baseplate and show somewhat different aging/patina. Because of these differences, I cannot verify that all pole screws are original.

I believe these are genuine vintage Gibson P-90s, most likely from the late 1960s-early 70s, based upon construction and the UC 452 B covers. However, because there are no visible date stamps or serial markings on the pickups themselves, I am selling them as 1960s-early 70s era vintage Gibson P-90s with the exact year unknown rather than representing a specific production year.
