Vintage Lee Riders Genuine Jeans Bandana Red Cowboy Rodeo Western Advertising For Sale

BUCK’S STATEMENT:

There was a time when a pair of Lee Riders wasn’t simply something hanging on a department store rack — it belonged to the imagery of the American West. Rodeos, dusty fairgrounds, feed stores, ranch hands and Saturday afternoons when every kid wanted to dress like the cowboys they saw on television. This old red Lee Riders bandana comes straight out of that world, with a bucking bronc and rider at center, the classic Lee logo, “Genuine Jeans” advertising and a looping rope border that could hardly look more Western if it tried.

Years of life have left their fingerprints here. The red has softened and faded in places, the fabric shows age and wear, and the bandana now measures roughly 19” x 19”, showing some shrinkage from its original approximately 21” square size. Down in one corner someone long ago added the initials “JB.” We’ll probably never know who JB was — a ranch hand, a kid who wore it around his neck, or simply somebody making sure his bandana came home with him — but that little handwritten mark is part of the history now. An honest old piece of Lee advertising with plenty of character left, ready for a vintage denim collection, Western display, bandana collection or frame on the wall.
