Vintage original Lyman receiver/peep sight with early Lyman trademark and patent marking. The sight is marked “Lyman” and “REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.” and is stamped “PAT. JULY 16, 07.”
This is an older all-steel Lyman receiver sight assembly with adjustable elevation. The elevation slide is present and functional and moves the sight up and down as intended. The adjustment hardware and folding/raised sight components shown in the photographs are included.
IMPORTANT: The rear aperture/eyepiece is missing and is NOT included. This listing is for the sight assembly exactly as pictured.
The exact Lyman model/application has not been conclusively identified. Its construction and markings appear consistent with early Lyman receiver sight designs, including sights from the No. 45 era, but buyers should compare the mounting-hole pattern, dimensions, markings, and photographs with their specific rifle before purchasing.
