Vintage MCM Epifanio Ortega Oil On Canvas Painting Abstract Bullfighting Scene For Sale

Here's an interesting midcentury oil painting on canvas done by Epifanio Ortega. It's a bullfight scene surrounded by a linen matte with a black frame. There are a few of his works out there but not a lot of information that I can find. He was a contemporary painter from Mexico who had exhibited at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City and some of his works were supposedly held by museums although I have no concrete information on that. This painting has an abstract tone with a touch of Cubist inspiration and is visually quite striking as it depicts the old world art of bullfighting. The picture is signed and dated Mexico 1971 and is a great size at 25" by 29" framed. An excellent piece of MCM art just waiting for a new den/mancave to hang out in. Thanks for looking.
