Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic vintage Mid-Century Modern (MCM) spindle-back lounge chair frame and updated cushions reupholstered in midcentury geometric pattern. Notice the pattern on the back cushion aligns witn the seat pattern. Crafted in the 1960s, this chair is a classic example of the high-quality Danish-style furniture imported from Yugoslavia during the mid-century modern boom. It features a gorgeous sculpted silhouette, tapered legs, and an open, multi-spindle backrest that looks stunning from every angle. Condition & Restoration Notes: Structurally rock-solid with no loose joints, wobbles, or major structural cracks. It shows light, honest vintage surface wear, minor scuffs, and superficial finish scratches consistent with its age, giving it a fantastic natural patina. The seat base retains its supportive horizontal webbing straps which I think are new when I had cushions made. Those small circular holes on the frame are not insect damage or defects; they are factory shipping. Those bore holes allowed the frame parts to be aligned, pinned, or bolted together during assembly. Imported Yugoslavian production model rather than a high-end designer Danish original, Yugoslavian furniture from this era (often made from solid beechwood stained to look like walnut or teak) and specifically designed as "knock-down" (flat-pack) furniture were intended for efficient global transport.
