Beautiful vintage Maui Jim Latitude MJ-166-16 sunglasses, an early and increasingly difficult-to-find Maui Jim design made in Japan.These feature a slim antique-gold-tone metal oval frame paired with striking green, amber and tortoise-pattern temples and Maui Jim’s bronze gradient lenses. The combination has a great late-80s/90s vintage look that is very different from most modern Maui Jim frames.The temples are clearly marked “MAUI MJ-166-16 Made in Japan” along with U.S. Patent 4,838,673, and the Maui Jim script logo is present on the lens.These are in good vintage pre-owned condition. The frame presents nicely and the temples retain their beautiful color. There is normal age-related wear, including some light surface marks/wear to the lenses and aging/discoloration of the nose pads.
