Vintage Model 72 Roman Gladiator Chariot Horse Lamp 1930s–50s Cast Metal Working For Sale

Vintage Model 72 Roman gladiator/chariot table lamp, featuring three running horses pulling a chariot with a Roman-style figure.Cast metal construction with a dark bronze-toned patina and detailed sculptural design. The back is clearly marked “MODEL 72.”This unusual lamp dates to approximately the 1930s–1950s and is a known vintage chariot lamp design that is becoming increasingly difficult to find.Lamp has been cleaned and tested and works properly. Pull-chain switch operates smoothly, bulb socket and harp are sturdy and secure, and the cord is in very good condition.Includes the burgundy cord/yarn-wrapped rectangular shade shown in the photos. The shade appears to be a later handmade/custom addition rather than the lamp’s original shade and can easily be removed.Condition note: There is a broken/chipped area at the rear of the cast-metal base where the electrical cord exits. Cord itself is intact and undamaged, and the lamp remains stable and fully functional.
