This darling vintage 1950s NOEL angel set is full of sweet Mid-Century Christmas charm. Made in Japan and beautifully hand-painted, each little angel girl holds a green holly-trimmed letter that comes together to spell NOEL.
Their faces are absolutely adorable, with big expressive eyes, long lashes, rosy little expressions, and sweetly tilted heads that make them look as though they’re gazing up at you. Each angel wears a festive red dress with a white hooded cloak sprinkled with fabulous gold atomic starbursts, such a wonderful little touch of 1950s Christmas magic!
The colors remain bright, the glaze is still beautifully shiny, and the set displays wonderfully. Condition: Superb vintage condition with no chips and no cracks. The “L” angel has one tiny dot of paint wear on the green letter, and the “E” angel has a very small area of roughness along the stun of her cloak and top of her cloak on her head has been touched with darker gold. Neither takes away from how beautifully this rare set displays. There is only minimal age-related paint wear and crazing. Please view all photos for details and condition.
