This is a lovely and fantastic Vintage Old Modern Surrealist SALVADOR DALI Etching Print, sanguine ink on paper, depicting "Autumn" or "Autumn Woman, I purchased this from an estate that had many fine pieces of art. This was one that I was able to obtain.
Here is what I was able to learn about this piece. " (REFERENCES: - Catalog reason Field # 70-2 - Catalog raises Michler & Lopsinger # 433,) which portrays a fancily dressed woman with a hat bearing fresh fruits, with a peaceful and benign facial expression, surrounded by two cherubs grabbing both of her arms. In the upper right corner of the scene, the overpowering rays of the sun avert her gaze, and below her feet, Salvador Dali's signature is visible, Signed in Plate, "Salvador Dali." Additionally, an old framer's label on the verso reads: "KULICKE...N.Y." This piece likely dates to the 1960's - 1970's. Approximately 15 1/4 x 19 1/4 inches (including frame.) Actual visible artwork is approximately 8 3/8 x 10 5/8 inches. Very good condition for age, with some light scuffing and edge wear to the original period vintage frame. Acquired from a family who lived on the west coast originally and had moved to central Kansas... If you like what you see, I encourage you to make an Offer.
The piece overall is in good condition, art is in excellent condition. There is some sort of stain in the lower left of the matte. Clearly an authentic piece.
