Description: This evocative Japanese landscape painting was created by Seikan Osada (長田青閑), an accomplished Nihonga painter skilled in the traditional landscape techniques of the Kyoto artistic tradition. Titled \"Arashiyama Saishiki Sansui-zu (嵐山彩色山水図)\" (Color Landscape of Arashiyama), the composition portrays the celebrated historic scenery of Arashiyama in Kyoto during the gentle arrival of spring. Amid soft mountain mists, resilient evergreen pine trees cling to rocky bluffs alongside flowering branches tinged with delicate pink blossoms. A solitary boatman navigates the serene waters of the river below, evoking an enduring harmony between humanity and nature. In Japanese culture, Arashiyama is renowned as one of the most iconic scenic landmarks, while pine trees (Matsu) represent longevity and steadfast virtue. Painted with delicate atmospheric washes, fine linework, and soft mineral colors on paper, this hanging scroll brings a tranquil, meditative ambiance to a tearoom, private study, or contemporary interior wall. The piece comes housed in its original wooden storage box titled \"Saishiki Sansui (彩色山水)\" and signed by the artist. The lower right bears the signature \"青閑 (Seikan)\" along with the artist\'s authentic red seal stamp.

Size: Approx. 21.5\" x 73.6\" (54.5 x 187.0 cm) (Overall), Approx. 16.3\" x 41.7\" (41.5 x 106.0 cm) (Work) (Width x Height).
