CONDITION DESCRIPTION:
Set of four coordinating vintage 1970s style MCM floral stoneware coffee mugs with Japanese Otagiri style design in pristine vintage condition. No chips, cracks, repairs, or visible damage observed. Glaze is clean and glossy with strong, even color throughout. The mugs feature different stylized floral designs in olive green, amber, golden yellow, brown, black, and orange red, with raised relief elements and dark incised or drawn looking outlines. All four bases are unmarked. Approx. 4 in. high x 2.75 in. inner cup diameter, excluding handle. Photos are of the actual items you will receive.

Coordinating set of four vintage floral stoneware mugs, likely dating to the 1970s. The heavy stoneware construction, squared handles, glossy glaze, stylized floral motifs, and earth tone palette are consistent with Mid Century Modern and 1970s Japanese export pottery. Each mug has a different floral composition while sharing the same overall design style, including stylized flowers, tulip like forms, sunburst motifs, leaves, raised details, and dark incised style linework.
The mugs have the general look associated with Otagiri style Japanese stoneware from the period, including substantial ceramic bodies, stylized floral and botanical motifs, textured or relief decoration, and earth tone or high contrast glazes. These examples are unmarked and are being described as Otagiri style, not as confirmed Otagiri production.
