Paul Sahlin Tiffany’s / P.S.T. Industries Leaded Stained Glass Peony Floral Table Lamp
Beautiful large vintage Paul Sahlin Tiffany’s / P.S.T. Industries leaded stained glass table lamp, retaining its original P.S.T. Industries, Long Beach–San Francisco, California label and Underwriters Laboratories portable lamp label at the socket.
This substantial statement lamp measures approximately 25 inches tall overall and is fitted with an impressive 16-inch diameter domed stained glass shade.
The shade features a lush peony-style floral garden design composed of large red, scarlet, rose, mauve and purple blossoms surrounded by vivid green leaves. The flowers are set against a luminous background of opalescent pale blue, white and cream art glass, with small jewel-like blue accents throughout the composition.
The floral design is especially striking when illuminated. Richly striated red, orange and ruby-colored glass creates depth and movement within the blossoms, while the mottled opalescent background glass produces a soft glowing effect. Variations in color, translucency and texture throughout the individual glass pieces give the shade the visual character associated with quality Tiffany-style leaded stained glass lighting.
The shade is assembled from numerous individually shaped pieces of colored art glass joined within a traditional leaded stained glass framework. A decorative green glass border surrounds the lower edge of the dome.
The large blossoms are stylistically reminiscent of peonies and roses. Because an original factory pattern name has not been confirmed, the shade is being accurately described as a peony-style floral pattern rather than representing “Peony” as a documented P.S.T. model name.
The shade is paired with an ornate Art Nouveau Revival cast-metal base featuring elongated botanical and foliate decoration, a broad decorative foot and an aged bronze/brass-tone finish. The flowing organic design of the base complements the floral stained glass shade beautifully.
The lamp retains its original-style harp, decorative finial and green felt covering on the underside of the base.

CONDITION
Good vintage condition overall with age-appropriate wear and patina to the metal base, harp and hardware.
There are several cracks/hairlines present within individual stained glass sections of the shade, visible upon close inspection and shown in the photographs. Cracks and hairlines are commonly encountered in older leaded stained glass shades due to the rigid metal framework, age, handling and natural expansion and contraction of the glass.
The shade remains assembled and displays beautifully. The existing cracks do not detract significantly from the overall visual presentation, particularly when the lamp is illuminated.
Metal components show normal oxidation, patina and surface wear consistent with age.
Lamp has been tested and is working, as shown in the photographs.
