For your consideration, I present this a classic Vintage Lionel No. 671 S2 Steam Turbine Locomotive.
Produced during the celebrated postwar era, this heavy die-cast metal engine is highly sought after by collectors for its iconic 6-8-6 wheel configuration and robust pulling power.
Condition Details & Observations:
Body: The heavy die-cast metal body shell is in good structural condition with no cracks or major structural breaks. The original black finish shows typical paint wear, small chips, and minor scratches consistent with its age and play use.
Markings: The \"671\" road number stamping under the cab window is still visible.
Components Present: The main side rods and linkage are attached to the drive wheels. The long silver handrail running along the side of the boiler is intact and securely seated. The rear 4-wheel trailing truck under the cab is present.
The engine is being sold as-is.
Mechanical Status: Untested. It has not been placed on a powered track or checked for smoke unit functionality.
