This is a truly beautiful example of Ernie Roots work back when bows were mostly handmade one at a time. The 4 digit serial number 6926 puts it at 1955-56. Is worthy of a serious collector\'s attention. One of the oldest examples of Root hunting bows you will find. Ernie Root was a famous archer and designer from the 50\'s. The bows are exceptionally well built and designed. The bow itself is beautiful which is what got me into bow collecting in the first place. The laminations are this bow give it a distinct beauty and add to its strength and power. I have shot it and it shoots well. But again, this is a 70-year-old bow and could break. But I knew that and had to. Takes you back to the days of the beginning of the sport. Root was bought out by Shakespeare in the mid 60\'s They got out of the archery business in the 70\'s.
