Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Schmid Bros. Christmas music box featuring a sweet hand-painted porcelain boy and girl kneeling in prayer beside a frosted Christmas tree. The base is accented with delicate gold snowflakes. The bottom features the original vintage Schmid gold shield sticker and is stamped "Made in Japan."
Condition Details:Cosmetic: Excellent vintage condition. No visible chips, cracks, or repairs in the porcelain. Colors remain soft and lovely.Mechanical: The wind-up mechanism does work and plays the tune "O Christmas Tree," but it plays slowly.
Note to Collectors: Because it is a vintage movement, the slow play is likely due to old factory lubricant drying up over the decades.
