Vintage Sony STR-AV460 Stereo AM/FM Receiver
Made in Japan | Amazing Cosmetic Casing
Up for sale is a remarkably clean, beautiful-looking 1980s Sony STR-AV460 stereo receiver. If you are looking for a unit with excellent shelf-presence or a perfect cosmetic donor chassis for a restoration project, this is it.
TECHNICAL CONDITION & DETAILS:
Power & Display: The unit powers on cleanly and the main digital display screen lights up bright, crisp, and clear.
Responsiveness: The digital tuner successfully responds to button inputs, changes frequencies on screen, and locks onto AM/FM radio stations. The digital volume controls respond properly.
Testing Status: Due to a lack of compatible testing gear and potential vintage user-interface settings, this unit has not been fully verified with audio output. The digital screen currently remains indicating the \"Speakers B\" output path. At least I think the B on screen has to do with speaker selection. If I pick selector A it’s still remains on B so not sure what’s going on there. Without an instruction manual, it’s difficult for me to discern which button should be on or off. It has a lot of buttons😊….
Selling Condition: Because full audio output has not been fully tested, this unit is being sold strictly AS-IS for parts, repair, or vintage restoration.
VINTAGE ELECTRONICS DISCLAIMER:
Please note that this is a vintage electronic item manufactured in the 1980s. Due to the age of the internal capacitors, circuitry, and mechanical switches, all vintage audio equipment is sold as-is with no guarantees, warranties, or returns.
