Vintage Souvenir Dolls- Mid-Century, Folk Art, Greece, Boxed For Sale

This is a pair of vintage Greek souvenir folk art dolls dressed in traditional regional costumes inside a cardboard box. Made mid-century, they feature painted composition or paper-mache heads and cloth-wrapped bodies. The female doll wears a red skirt with an embroidered depiction of the Parthenon and the word \"GREECE,\" paired with a white patterned blouse and headscarf. The male doll wears a traditional Greek fustanella (a skirt-like garment) with an embroidered vest and pom-pom accented shoes (tsarouchia). The dolls are pinned to the original box. There are normal age spots and wear. The dolls do not have arms. I am not sure if it is just this pair or all dolls of this style. Items are sold in the condition they are shown in photos.
