Vintage Soviet silver tea glass holder, made in the Armenian SSR, USSR, circa 1956.
The holder is marked 875, indicating 87.5% silver purity. Additional maker/date hallmarks are present; based on their appearance, the piece appears to be an Armenian Soviet-era production from the mid-1950s.
The front features a finely engraved architectural view, apparently depicting the Yerevan Opera and Ballet Theatre, surrounded by ornate openwork decoration. The interior shows traces of gilding, and the surface has attractive age-related patina.
