Striking vintage Southwestern artisan statement necklace featuring dramatic polished black onyx cabochons set in substantial sterling silver.
This impressive articulated bib necklace features three large upper sections with a suspended teardrop drop. Each section combines a glossy black teardrop-shaped cabochon with elaborate dimensional silverwork.
The silver design is especially beautiful, featuring deeply carved and textured feather or leaf motifs, serrated stone settings, sculptural graduated silver beadwork, and darkened recessed details that emphasize the intricate workmanship.
The necklace is stamped STERLING on the reverse and also bears an additional maker's mark. Please see the close-up hallmark photograph. The maker has not been conclusively identified, so no specific artisan attribution is being made.
