Vintage Student Fraternity Cap German Origin?:

We acquired this cloth cap at an estate sale and we were told that it is a German student fraternity cap. The top red circle area of the hat measures approx. 5 3/4\" by 6\". The striped side band of the hat measures just under 2 1/2\" in height. The hat shows overall age wear to the cloth (soil on the interior and lighter soil on the outer cloth) and has an approx. 1\" tear on the white stripe. Definitely a unique vintage item.
