Vintage men’s sport coat from The University Shop of New Haven, a terrific example of classic American Ivy/collegiate menswear.
Made in the USA and tagged 42L, the jacket features a traditional tan, cream and gray glen-plaid/check pattern with a substantial textured weave. Classic two-button construction with notch lapels, welt chest pocket, flap lower pockets, four-button cuffs and full tan lining.
The University Shop/New Haven provenance is particularly appealing for an Ivy-style piece. The overall look is pure traditional American menswear—easy with gray flannels and loafers or dressed down with an Oxford shirt and denim.

Very good vintage pre-owned condition. From these photographs no stains, tears or moth holes. The exterior presents especially nicely and the lining appears clean overall.
