Vintage Unsmoked Chimney Billiard Briar Pipe NOS Unbranded France-Marked Stem For Sale

Up for sale is a tall, slender chimney billiard from vintage Tinder Box stock, offered in NOS/unsmoked condition. The smooth reddish-brown finish highlights attractive birdseye and swirling grain, while the long black tapered stem gives the pipe a clean, balanced profile.

The bowl stands approximately 2.3 inches tall, with a deep, relatively narrow chamber. At just 42 grams, it carries its height without excessive weight.

No maker’s name is present on the bowl or shank. The stem is stamped “FRANCE,” and a vintage Tinder Box retail sticker (late 80s/early 90s) remains attached. The manufacturer and production date are unknown. This was acquired as part of a large lot from a Tinder Box store that closed in the early 1990s.

Condition

New old stock and unsmoked, with a dark bowl coating present. Light surface marks and small finish imperfections are visible from storage and handling, including around the shank. The stem shows light surface wear but no obvious tooth impressions. Please examine the close-up photographs for the condition of the finish, rim, stem, and shank.
