Description: Vintage Craftsman 15-piece 1/4” drive socket set with SAE sockets ranging from 5/32” through 1/2”, housed in its original metal storage case.There are 2 extra 8 point sockets 1/4" & 5/16" that match the original socket set. The 1/2", 5/32" and the 3/16"are newer G and V Series sockets made in USA.
Includes the original ratchet, flex-head breaker bar with removable crossbar, and separate sliding T-handle. The crossbar fits through the breaker bar’s handle for use as a T-handle.There are 2 extra 8 point sockets 1/4" & 5/16" that match the original socket set. The Ratchet, Breaker Bar and the Sliding T handle are all =V= and 2 are marked “FORGED IN U.S.A.” with the Craftsman V manufacturer’s mark, see pictures for detail. The case features a ribbed lid and the vintage “Guaranteed Highest Quality” Craftsman label.
Estimated to date from the late 1940s through the 1950s. Most pieces are believed original to the set, although some sockets are replacements. Exact production year is unknown.
