Vintage Westclox Scotty mechanical pocket watch featuring a highly attractive black dial with cream-colored Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, and original SHOCK RESISTANT / MADE IN U.S.A. markings.
The watch also features a decorative floral-patterned case back, giving this example more visual character than many standard Westclox Scotty pocket watches.
IMPORTANT – RUNNING CONDITION
The watch winds and runs at the time of listing, but it runs slow.
It has not been recently serviced, regulated, timed, or tested for accuracy or power reserve.
Because the watch is losing time, a professional cleaning, service and/or regulation should be expected before dependable everyday use.
The watch is therefore being sold as a running vintage watch requiring service, with no guarantee of accuracy or continued long-term operation.
Condition
Vintage pre-owned condition with visible age-related wear.
The case shows scratches, scuffs, discoloration, patina and finish wear consistent with age and previous use.
The crystal shows noticeable scratches and surface marks, particularly visible around the upper-left portion of the dial.
The black dial remains highly legible and attractive, with original Arabic numerals, minute track, Westclox Scotty branding, and subsidiary seconds register.
The decorative floral case back shows scratches and surface wear but retains its embossed design clearly.
