Up for sale is a remarkably well-preserved, authentic vintage Louis Marx & Co. "Range Rider" tin lithograph mechanical wind-up cowboy toy.
This piece looks absolutely beautiful for its age! The lithographed graphics remain vibrant and bright, with incredibly crisp details on the cowboy’s western attire, facial expressions, and the bucking horse. It displays a wonderful, honest playwear patina that collectors look for, with absolutely no heavy rusting or structural damage
Mechanical Condition & Key Features:
• 100% Fully Functional: The clockwork wind-up mechanism is intact, strong, and works beautifully.
• Original Wire Lasso Included: The highly coveted original wire lasso is present, undamaged, and attached.
• Action works perfectly: When wound, the mechanism triggers smoothly, and the lasso actively spins exactly as it was designed to do 80+ years ago!
Most of these toys found today are broken, missing parts, or have completely lost their lasso attachment. Finding one in this crisp, fully operational state is a true rarity for any antique toy or Western Americana collection.
