Mouton fur is sheared lambskin processed to perfectly mimic the dense, velvety texture and high-gloss sheen of sheared beaver or fur seal. It is heavy, incredibly warm, and holds its structure beautifully.
What makes this specific jacket a rare find is its secondary tag: "A.A. Average American" Size Original. This line was specifically designed in the mid-century to offer realistic, incredibly wearable proportions for the everyday woman. Instead of a plain silk lining, it features a fantastic, vibrant red and forest green plaid tartan lining, giving it a sporty, casual car coat look that styles effortlessly with modern wardrobe pieces.
